Uchi brings new items this fall

Uchi is still as popular as ever in Houston, as evidenced by the bustling restaurant on a recent Tuesday night.  Uchi has returned the love by recently unveiling a number of new menu items specifically for their Houston fans. Uchi currently has locations in Austin, Dallas, and Houston but executive chef/owner Tyson Cole revealed that each location also has a number of dishes autonomous to each city.  Uchi Houston is in the deft hands and palate of chef de cuisine Lance Gillum and his offerings do not disappoint. So you can still order those famous Uchi brussel sprouts, but now pair them with taraba kanpyo (alaskan king crab with summer squash and wild flower) or sasami yaki (coconut marinated young chicken with nuoc mam over jasmine rice). The two hotate (scallop) dishes, one prepared raw and the other perfectly cooked, were also standouts. There are a few more Houston exclusive dishes to try, and we heard there will be some different dishes coming soon.
